Basement conversions-this is what we love doing:) Giving our customer a new space within existing walls and a touch of a London luxury. Today we are facing limited amount of land to use, more stringent planning requirements and massive costs of extending property to accommodate an extra bedroom. If you are lucky enough to have an abandoned basement in your house then this is what we can do to it:)We have started with a damp and cold basement flat where everything was good just to be taken out. We have removed all plaster, lifted old concrete floor, relaid gas and water, concreted the floor, insulated it and installed weyrock flooring .Walls have been cleaned up and tanked for waterproofing, then insulated plasterboard applied. Ceilings have been leveled with latest laser technology, all have been insulated with 200mm insulation.We have also opened up living room space, installed new staircase reusing old post and handrail from original stairs.We have created a bathroom where was an alcove to the back door. New combi boiler got fitted in units and separate meters.Our joiner has made new wooden windows and doors for us to a highest standard. We have also installed new lovely kitchen from howdens.Living room received new fireplace finished in rustic brickwork and now  installed  a 5 kW log burner.We have also re-rendered the chimney and repaired it, installed new liner and new potsExterior steps have been newly shuttered and concreted to both front and back to improve pitch and going.Exterior steps to front of the property have had a new slate and all walls re-rendered, rear steps have been finished in red slab and walls re-rendered, stonework re-pointed and patio area walled too:)Flooring is finished in hickory timber to give this expensive and lovely modern look.Exterior wise we have totally redone stairs to front and back in slate and red tile. Looks awesome:) We have already been asked to work on another basement in Pembroke dock by a customer that has seen our work here on Laws street.
